We want to extend a huge, "buyer beware" warning to our clients and friends. Unfortunately, this product is widely available , (Amazon, Chewy, PetCo), and it is highly toxic to cats. It may seem appealing as it is listed as "natural", but a lot of essential oils, peppermint oil especially, are toxic to cats. This products contains peppermint oil and sodium lauryl sulfate, and that combination is extremely toxic. It is a topic of concern across VIN, the Veterinary Information Network. This is a veterinarian only site where doctors post questions and medical cases. A handful of doctors have posted noting they have had patients treated with this product seizure, become extremely ill on a ventilator, or die.
